Walaupun jangka lama kemampuan kertas thermal untuk tetap bisa menyimpan sebuah hasil tulisan tidak bisa lama, namun dari sisi 
kelebihan kertas thermal banyak memiliki kelebihan dari kertas HVS pada pemakaian printer dot matrix. Sharp ER-A410 menghadirkan mesin kasir dengan jenis cetak printer thermal namun memiliki 2 station printer yaitu yang dipergunakan untuk struk atau dikenal dengan nama receipt dan juga untuk mencetak journal (jurnal) yang tergulung ulang di dalam printer sebagai bukti cetak rekapilulasi transaksi harian.
Bila sebelumnya Sharp pernah mengeluarkan varian XE-A203 maka tipe Sharp ER-A410 sebenarnya secara tampilan visual hampir mirip, hanya saja beda di kapasitas dan jumlah station printer.
Mesin kasir tipe ini kelebihan utamanya adalah bisa digunakan untuk merekap stok barang dagangan di toko Anda, karena varian lainnya janrang yang memiliki fitur ini, katakanlah tipe ER440 pun belum bisa digunakan untuk merekap stok barang. Kapasitas PLU’s bisa disetting saat melakukan alokasi memori. Tipe ini juga mampu dioperasikan dengan menggunkan barcode scanner dengan seeting kode UPC.
